How to become a School Volunteer?
To become a Volunteer you must access the Miami-Dade Schools Parent Portal, on the tab Be a School Volunteer.
Be a School Volunteer is a Web-based application developed to facilitate and expedite the process of becoming a school volunteer. Employees, Parents, Students and Community members will be able to apply online to different locations for different service activities.
Volunteer applicants must select school location and type of service activities they are volunteering for.
Volunteer applicants will be processed by the system according to the level for the service activity they selected.
Level 1 activities will perform an electronic background check and the school will be able to approve or deny the volunteer immediately.
Level 2 activities will require fingerprinting.

Para hacerte voluntario es necesario que entres al portal de Miami Dado Schools Parent Portal, luego debes tocar la pestaña de Be a Volunteer.
Be a Volunteer es un aplicación de web desarrollada para facilitar el proceso para hacerte voluntario. Empleados, Padres, estudiantes y miembros de la comunidad podrán aplicar via la internet a distintos locales para diferente localidades y actividades.
Los postulantes a voluntarios deben seleccionar el colegio y tipo de actividad para la cual desean ser voluntario.
Los postulantes a voluntarios serán procesados por el sistema acorde al nivel de servicio de voluntariado seleccionado.
Level 1 o nivel 1, requiere un chequeo electrónico y el colegio podrá aprobar or rechazar al postulante inmediatamente.
Level 2 o nivel 2, requiere huellas para la aprobación.
